Well I only have a few more days until December is gone so I thought I better write a little something today. This year has had its up and downs. I guess that's just the way things are. I've made new friends and even lost one. One that I think about all the time. Her name is Lucy Jackson. She played with Kaleigh in the nursery at church. They were only 3 weeks apart. In May, Lucy choked on a piece of apple and passed away. I still remember holding her hand in the hospital and just hoping she would be okay. That week really opened my eyes to life. It helped me appreciate everything around me. I miss little Lucy so much and love to read Lucy's mother Molly Jackson's blog. I can't imagine how she feels. I often pray for her to be strong and have peace. I was so happy to hear she's now having a baby boy in April. I'm so happy to for her.
Now I would like to talk about some of the things that I am grateful for. I'm so grateful to have a family. I love doing things with them. We always have tons of fun. It has been a great joy to see my kids grow. Alex is 8 now and is so helpful around the house. Kaleigh is just too adorable to describe but a little stinker too. I love the little things she says to me. She knows how to get what she wants. She just says I miss u mommy or I love u so much mommy.
Then there's Elias who has done so much for me. I don't know where I would be in life if he didn't save me. I know he loves me more than anything. He's always there for me when I cry and need someone to hold me. Even if I was the one who was wrong. I love that about him. He is the greatest father too. He loves going to the park with the kids in the summer, going on a bike ride, hiking, movies, swimming, dinner and even playing battleship with Alex. They both love to play video games together too. In fact, for Christmas my dad gave them both a ton of x-box 360 games and last night they played together until 3am. They are playing right now too. lol.
Next, I would like to talk about my mom. She helps me out so much. Especially with the kids. Kaleigh loves going to Grandmas too. Must be a the candy she gets to eat because she knows where grandma hides it. Sometimes when we are driving somewhere, Kaleigh asks if we are going to grandma's house and when we say no, she says, " I WANT MY GRANDMA!!!" It's so funny. My mom is always there whenever I need something. I hope she knows how much we appreciate her.
Next, I would like to talk about my friends. One of my best friends is my own sister, Lucy. She has been my best friend for a very long time. We work together so we get to see each other every day but even before that we were still close. I has so many good memories of us growing up. She is so kind to everyone. Even when u are mean to her, she just can't be mean back. (Don't eat my bagel bits... hahaha) I tell her everything that goes on in my life and she tells me. I love her so much and I'm so happy to have her close to me!!! I don't really have many friends other than Lucy but I guess that's what happens when u get married and have kids.
One recent friend I've made it Miken....AHHHHHhhhhhhhh. That's a little inside joke. I met her when I started working in Salt Lake at the home office. She's almost as crazy as me so I think that's why I like her. I haven't had a chance to get to know her too much but when we are together, we always have tons of fun. AhhAHHAhhhhh. We would go on our 15 minute breaks from work and randomly scream at people out the window while we were driving. It was hilarious. I don't think I've ever laughed that hard in my life. I miss being around her. Hopefully we can get to know each other more in the future.
Well i think I better wrap things up for now. I have way more things I'm grateful for but I'm just out of time. I have to get stuff done around the house because once I go back to work, I won't get it done until next weekend. I guess next week is the new year and I can continue next week....hopefully!
